A Halloween Exhibition of the Erotic and the Fantastic
La Luz de Jesus Gallery proudly presents our second fun anual fantasy filled art show with artist, writer, director, Clive Barker. among the world's most prolific artists, creating novels, paintings, motion pictures, children's books and television series, Barker only ever aims For one thing: to explore and expose the furthest edges of the human imagination. His imagination at its most uninhibited can tie pretty frightening stuff - hence his reputation for works of sublime horror and subversive fantasy - and through his painting he expresses the deepest desires of the human spirit. For his second West Coast exhibition, the artist will be displaying a grand variety of work: acrylic on paper, oil on canvas, and a selection of painted photographs. Barker promises this to be the most accessible show yet, geared toward the widest audience possible, an "art show for people who hate art shows". The underlying objective is, as always, to outrage, but this time around tie is more concerned with the viewer having a fun experience than a horrific one. Through this diverse mixed media presentation he aims to show us the sexy and erotic as well as the weird anti fantastical, a smorgasbord for his eagerly awaiting fans. (And bless his heart, he's made everything completely affordable.) please join us For the opening reception, kicking off the Halloween weekend, with the genuinely Fascinating Clive Barker and his eclectic selection of visuals.
